Farzona Davlatmurodova is a mixture of kindness, intelligence, and many different talents. Her ocean blue hair and shy nature is quite an interesting and unexpected combination.

“All my friends describe me as an unpredictable person, mainly because of my mood swings which undoubtedly affect all my decisions,” shares Farzona with a shy smile on her face.

Farzona was born in Tajikistan, Central Asia in a family with three children. “I love to spend time with my family, especially when we are all together at home,” says Farzona while talking about how close she is to her family.

Ever since high school, Farzona wanted to apply to AUCA which is a university in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. According to her, she did not even consider any other options. The only obstacle to achieving this dream of hers was her eldest brother who is very protective.

“My brother is a very religious person and at first he did not want me to study abroad where he will not be able to control me,” shares Farzona.

Despite the fact that her brother eventually agreed to let her go, Farzona still feels anxious because she does not want to disappoint him. “One of my biggest dreams is to show my brother that I can take care of myself and that I am not that little girl who he remembers.”

Farzona also shares that her freshman year was one of the hardest moments in her life mainly because of the fact that she started majoring in International and Comparative Politics. “I hated it,” shares Farzona about her initial choice.

Eventually, Farzona changed her major to Television, Cinema, and Media Arts and started feeling much more confident and happy about her decision.

She shares that the university helped her to become less shy when expressing her opinions and talents. “I learned that when I want to say something I should and I can do it.”

Outside the classroom, Farzona is a photographer who makes beautiful aesthetic portraits. “I do not have a clear idea of what my life would be in five years but I really want to be a photographer.”

In addition to her great photography style, Farzona has also a unique music taste which distinguishes her from most of the people her age. She enjoys listening to indie music as well as classical rock from the 80s and 90s. “I am proud of my music taste because this is the one thing that I know is truly perfect.”
